Oakland, CA – OCA-East Bay is proud to celebrate its 22nd year with a double feature event: Annual Dinner on Friday, June 12, 2009 and a Kids Day with Kevin Tan Saturday, June 13, 2009.  

The Annual Dinner honors Kevin Tan and Joe Wong two individuals who ideally reflect this year’s theme: Developing Asian American Leadership - Past, Present and Future.  Tan is an Olympic Medalist and the U.S. Men’s Gymnastics Team Captain.  Wong is the former Port of Oakland, Deputy Executive Director and an active community leader.  Tickets available for $100, please contact comments@ocaeastbay.org.

At the Kids Day with an Olympian event on Saturday, Superintendent of Schools Sheila Jordan will introduce Kevin Tan.  Tan will talk with local students about his Olympic experience and will be available for photos and questions. Attendance is free.
