May, 19th, Self-Help for the Elderly held a press conference to launch their new DTV assistance hotline and announced their expanded in-home converter box installation capabilities, which are made possible by a grant from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Their new hotline, 1-800-958-2999, provides DTV technical assistance in English, Spanish, and Mandarin and Cantonese, dialects of Chinese. Residents who need in-home converter box installation assistance can call the hotline to set up an appointment.
