Announcing the 2009 NEN Awards!
The NEN Awards will be returning to City Hall on the evening of Wednesday, November 18th. For those of you who were able to attend last years event, it was best described as inspirational (see photos).
This year many of the awards handed out last year will return, as well as a few new ones have been added to the mix. They include:

Best "Green" Community Project
Best Neighborhood Organization Website
Best GraffitiWatch Volunteer Award
Best Community Building Event
Best Community Challenge Grant Project
Comeback Neighborhood of the Year
The NEN Lifetime Achievement Award
The NEN Hall of Fame
As is the NEN Awards tradition, we need you to help us select the winners. So visit this link to nominate the organizations, and projects, that you feel deserve to be recognized with a 2009 NEN Award.
The nomination window closes at 5pm on Tuesday, October 20th, so don't delay-submit your recommendations today.
Also be sure to save the date, Wednesday November 18th for the 2009 NEN Awards at City Hall. We'll be opening registration in just a few short weeks.

Celebrate Our Beautiful City at the SF Beautiful Awards Dinner: October 29th

SF Beautiful is the only San Francisco organization whose sole purpose is to protect and enhance the City's urban environment. They work to improve the quality of daily life, strengthen communities, and empower citizens to maintain the character of the City's parks, neighborhoods and streets.
